Supporters of Republican nominee and former President Donald Trump hit the road for a car parade in Maricopa County, Arizona on Saturday (Nov. 2)
With Trump flags flying and cars decorated with campaign merchandise, the parade took off from Morristown and drove to Phoenix some 56 miles (90 kilometres) honking and cheering all the while.
As the election is three days away, those voting for Trump encourage fellow Republicans and undecided voters to cast their ballots.
"I think what Turning Point is doing, is going out and asking the Republicans who didn't usually vote to get and vote, is going to help make a big difference," Linda Taylor, 69, told Reuters.
"I mean, seriously, you got to know by now. I mean, you can't just be standing at the polls going: I just don't know," Glen Flesher, who visited the event with his wife and daughter said.
Those undecided and reluctant votes could make a difference in Arizona, one of the seven battleground states in the tight race between nominees Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
Among the issues driving voters in the border state of Arizona are security and illegal immigration, where Trump has taken a strong stand. He promises a crackdown on illegal immigration and restrictions on legal immigration, which is appealing to independent voters like Charlie Gore, 70.
"It's America. We're going to make it one way or the other, but it's going to be better for the country if he does, if he wins," Gore said.
Trump has noticeably hardened his anti-immigration rhetoric in the final weeks of the campaign. Last month, he called immigrants in the U.S. illegally who commit violent crimes "monsters," "stone-cold killers" and "vile animals."
In the 2020 election, Arizona narrowly went for Democrat and could play a crucial role in this year's vote.
