This is a great version of it...easier to tie compared to the FG. Great Rizzuto finish.

Super nice variant of the FG knot with a Rizutto lockdown. Maybe also do a “half hitch” on the tail, close to the knot before burning. That will certainly secure that the braid do not splice up in to the Rizutto knot. Awesome good take, big thanks for new easyer ways to great knots😃👌

I like the video, it's clear what you're doing.

This knot, until about 04:00 and the finishing half hitches and such are added, is an icicle hitch. It's excellent for rigid poles/posts. It tends to separate between wraps as it's loaded which may be why some comments indicate that it either fell apart or slipped: the mono may flex too much to keep the icicle hitch structure in its needed form to hold fast. I dunno about that...but it starts as an icicle hitch.

Doesn't change the fact that you did a nice job making the video and conveying how to tie the knot.

Wow. I don't have that much time. Double Uni and fish in 60 secs. In the dark. I am sure this is twice as strong, but i catch more fish with baits in the water. Thanks for the relaxing video!

Clean looking knot, I would cut the leader tag before rizudo finish to hide the leader tag a little more. Have to give this one a go.

I guess this is good for certain types of fishing and depends on what your targeting. I do a lot of inshore for tog, summer flounder, striped bass, stuff like that. My double uni for 10lb or 15lb braid to 15lb - 30lb fluro has let me down rarely. I just think this is overkill if your trying to hurry up and tie another leader on while the bite is good. IMO

Very good example of the Rizzuto finish. I like to use the finish on a FG knot. 👍

I'd like to suggest an improvment the your knot:
You made the final knots around leader plus main. If you'd make just a couple of half knots around both, it would end up perfectly safe. I'd tie the final knots only around the main line. These knots would protect the main line from friction between the (melted or sharp) end of the leader and the braid.

Hoping the SC is for South Carolina here. Just learned the FG and now I will forget it. This seems a good bit easier on the coiling portion.
