2025 Smart #5 - Now Officially Published - World Premiere

Smart has today officially published the new Smart #5 model in Australia.

This is the biggest Smart car ever with a 2.9 wheelbase.

With its appearance, equipment and details, SMART #5 wants to emphasize that it is a premium class car. In other words, the German trio Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz have been selected as competitors, as well as a few others from Alfa Romeo to Volvo.

Small nice things are the two-tone exterior mirror housings and the Smart badge in the middle of the rim, which stays in the right position when the rim rotates.

The SUV-like nature of the novelty can be underlined by choosing the Adventurers' Collection package for the Smart #5. It includes a row of lights on the roof, an electric tow hook, armor on the bottom, a sturdy roof rack, running boards, a side bag and a ladder for the roof rack. In that package, especially regarding the bag, there is much the same as the accessories available for the Land Rover Defender.

The cabin is spacious, adaptable and well equipped. The passenger compartment has 34 storage spaces, in addition to which there is a 72-liter luggage compartment in front, which can be expanded to 1,530 liters.

Special features include seat belts integrated in the front seats or more than a meter of headroom in the rear seats, which also have heating and backrest tilt. The led lights are the same as in airplanes and with one push of a button you get more legroom. The oak wood decoration and the 256 colors of the mood lighting also point to luxury.
The infotainment system includes a projector.

The sound system is handled by the Sennheiser Signature Sound System with 20 speakers and one portable speaker. The separate speaker is synchronized with the mood lighting so that the rhythm of the music creates an audiovisual experience.

Information is shared using the latest technology, as there is a 25.6-inch augmented reality projection screen in front of the driver. The dashboard has a 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster and two 13-inch screens. Voice command control using artificial intelligence is promised to be very precise, and intelligent avatars will provide an answer to almost all questions.

The basic electrical structure uses an 800-volt architecture, which has enabled fast charging and a long operating distance. The energy content of the driving battery is 100 kilowatt-hours, and under optimal conditions the energy level can be increased from 10 to 80 percent in 15 minutes. The electric range is 740 kilometers according to the Chinese standard (CLTC). In Europe, the WLTP electric range is promised to be over 500 km.

Smart #5 continues to elevate the brand to ever larger car categories. In Europe, the novelty will be officially presented in early 2025, when deliveries of Smart #5 to customers will also begin.
