As I’m a new mother I’m two months post pregnancy. I find being able to Brest feed more of a privilege than a right to do so. I tried breastfeeding when my son was first born having inverted nipples made it difficult and he just wouldn’t stay latched on. I tried to pump but pumping on top of having to buy formula is more expensive than women realize. Due to my financial situation and being unable to try different flange sizes I had to quit cold turkey on Brest feeding. It’s not because I wanted to stop it’s because I had no choice but to stop because I don’t have the privilege to continue to do so my boobs constantly ace I have a constant reminder of what I couldn’t do.
