Finally a version where the cymbals sound good and not like someone shooting them with a sand blaster.

This truly doesn't come off as a "I turned up the bass using cheap software"

Instead we hear a perfectly balanced mix, which just strikes my ears as being much more natural in regards to tonality, just adds so much depth and quality to the mix.

Well done to whoever did this!

Jason's bass always sounded "muscular", as if his tone could beat the shit out of you

This is easily the best version online

...And Justice For All has always been my favorite Metallica record. Hearing one of the best tracks on the record with properly mixed bass for the first time has elevated it to a whole new level. What a fucking disservice Lars and James did to Jason and the fans with the original mix.

I’ve always loved this album, even with the bass turned down. I feel like it symbolized the loss of Cliff and sounded extra raw because of it. However, being able to hear Jason takes this masterpiece to a whole new level. Even though the loss of Cliff was still a fresh wound for these guys, idk how the fuck James and Lars heard the bass lines for this track and thought to themselves “ahh let’s turn that shit down as low as we can we possibly can”. Bass is so damn important in rock/metal!

If James & Lars want to actually show Newsted, and the Metal Community, that they aren't huge douche bags, they should do a re-release of this album with Jason's bass in the mix like it should have been the whole time. Hell, if they didn't want someone else playing bass, then they should have just not hired anyone. This is so much tonally full than the original.

If the whole albums sounded like this it’d be the GOAT

The fact that Metallica turned the bass down on this song and album is criminal. Jason really played his ass off on this album and that needs to be acknowledged! So thanks to remixes like this one we can all enjoy what we should of all along. 🤘🏻

It's still madness to me that we didn't get a remaster with the original bass stems properly mixed for the 30th anniversary

We have Lars Ulrich to thank for the abominable mix we suffered through for decades.

I honestly think this is the best One with Bass version on YouTube. You can clearly hear the Bass’s distinct tone while also supporting the low end, but it’s not too loud land ruining the mix. I’m not going to lie And Justice For Jason sucks, the bass is too loud and it makes the other instruments sound terrible. The original one is lacking a lot of bass though. I really prefer this bass addition where the bass is distinct but not blasting.

I love how Jason’s bass accents Lars little cheap fills

FINALLY a quality mix where the bass is closer to in the “pocket” instead of overwhelming the mix. This sounds stellar!!

This song feels really heavy with bass.

Any thrash band would have given their souls to the devil to have written this song. It is a masterpiece.

Best one so far. When people add bass to AJFA songs, they usually tend to turn the bass volume all the way up, making it displeasing to listen to. You did a great job here, dude! Cheers!
