🥔🥔🥔That's really very fun to play class! More diverse and satisfying than basic optimized rogue/fighters with 20 attacks in one turn.

Whenever you take damage while you are concentrating on a spell, you must make a Constitution saving throw to maintain your Concentration. The DC equals 10 or half the damage you take, whichever number is higher. If you take damage from multiple sources, such as an arrow and a dragon’s breath, you make a separate saving throw for each source of damage.

For early act 2 the Quartermaster at the Last Light inn sells a warpick named Hoppy, it has a unique action called Revitalizing strike, which heals 1-6 equal to Proficiency bonus, a very easy setup to get that extra damage early in!

I love that part when lvl 1 imp resisted your lvl 5 reaction

Took a pretty similar approach, but rather than focusing on druid spells for damage I went with Life Cleric 1 (base), Wizard 1 and 10 Spore druid. Spore druid abilities really cap out at level 10, and being able to eat scrolls via wizard for both Wiz and Cleric spell lists makes for a really strong dip. Combining the Temp HP from Symbiotic, zombies, haste spores and support spells like Aid makes for a really nice frontline "Tank" that has as much or more support capability as a Cleric.

Theres a bunch of poison stuff armour in the monastery and in moon rise tower. Poisoners garb also helps with the damage, partner that with the glove that increase the chance of being poisoned and the boots (I think it was the boots) that adds reverberating on enemies that gained a status effects then with the broodmothers revenge you can also wear the derivation cloak to get heal per poisoned enemies (activating the broods mother's effect again) I think almost all of this is in act 2

I find running this same build but dex build with double hand crossbows and Phalar Aluve in melee slot is way better. All these bonuses you mentioned plus 1d4 lightning on all attacks (2d4 on the reaction spores attack!) and enemies mental defences are shredded by 1d4 making your spells land much easier, and you get it early act 2. Hand crossbows do not need dual wield feats to do full damage/full attack, so frees up a feat. Bizarrely it’s the only finesse long sword in the game as far as i can tell so you can melee with it too while str becomes a dump stat. Attacking from range means your bonus hp from spores stays up much easier and the bonus hp items can also be freed up for other op gear. In this case, drow is a good choice as hand xbow proficiency is given to you. I went Githyanki for the Astral Knowledge perk (proficiency in whatever 5 skills you want) and got and got hand xbows through a feat. Multiclassing a warrior to get con proficiency is a toss up since you loose a the 3rd feat in the process which you could use to choose resilient proficiency and also +1 con. AC is nearly the same with light armour and high dex, and you’ll want the godly spores light armour as soon as you can get it in anyway. By the end of the game you can get the Sharpshooter feat which adds a massive 10 flat damage to each xbow attack (with -5 attack) and there is no melee equivalent unless you use a 2 hander, and duel wield melee is left even more in the dust.

I decided to try this build as a fresh start. It is going well so far but I have found that Dex is better than strength at earlier levels. Dual wielding rapiers and hand crossbows is very respectable damage with Symbiotic Entity active

Seriously my dude great content and every time that Dion theme plays I get very nostalgic xD. Continue the great work.

I really like your builds in general, mostly because they are not "buff yourself 10 times and then one shot someone" but rather thematically fit role play of what BG3 character could look like.

I myself crafted something similar build from this video, but rather than going spellcaster, I went with "cast concentration spell but use weapon", which led me to use warlock instead. Anyway, I'm still stealing some ideas from your builds and I love to watch new videos even tho I am not using every single one of them.

P.S It's important to note that as for writing this comment (and when uploading this video) Broodmother's Revenge amulet is kinda bugged and it works mostly with healing from spells/potions but does not from [some] other items e.g. shattered flail (weapon).
On top of that, Broodmother's Revenge says that it's 1d6 but it's 1d4 (you can check yourself in battle log or 13:28). Still good, tho.

I made my Spore Druid as a Drow, so it got hand crossbow proficiency and went heavily into Dex but not Str, also didn't take the Fighter level, just stand back and shoot with the offhand hand crossbow on bonus actions and main action either another hand crossbow attack or a spell or whatever. I'm still in act 1, but it's working really well so far.

Keep dual wielder at the end and use Staff of Cherished Necromancy with the legendary staff. If you respec when you get the health amulet, put the points into dex to get 16 (1 less than the gloves) and get something else. When you combine The Reviving Hands and Ring of Regeneration you can give yourself blade ward for free every turn, thus giving you resistance to all physical damage on top (solo build in mind). Also. the circlet from Balthazar is great for the undead summons.

As other people have said, 1 lvl of wizard instead of fighter or -1 druid level is great.

If you get the murky lite scourge flails they have an additional 1d6 necrotic damage on top of the ones from gloves and spores. And they look dope

Good job mate! I'm in the middle of my first progression, and already thinking about what build I'll go with for the second play-through. Wanted a warlock, but you've intrigued me with this druid build.
Still! I can't help but I must admit your perfect choice of sound for the video :) I dunno did you make it intentionally or just pick a random good-sounding theme, but it's a lot of pleasure to hear familiar L2 themes in here.

This is what I have in mind for Jaheira. Two levels of fighter and Sylvan scimitar + Belm. That way she became pretty lore accu.

in act 1 for the added poison on weapons when healed, if you want, you can go risky and use shattered flail in off-hand (1d6 heal when hitting enemies but if you don't hit, you may go mad and attack anything close to you)
imo this is amazing for a "battle frenzied spore druid" flavor

if it hasn't been said, difficulty class is equal to or greater than, so if you have a DC of 10, you need to roll a 10 or greater, so when you have a +9 to con saves you just can't roll a 1 since that is a automatic fail, if you have a +8 to con saves, you just can't roll a 1 so you have a 95% chance of succeeding a con save to keep your concentration on rolls.
