Spore druid is amazing. There is nothing better than seeing an enemy walk into your radius and instantly go YOUVE ACTIVATED MY TRAP CARD on them

Just don't forget that you can wild shape into animals too. I loved using animal shapes to solve non-combat problems.

I love the idea of the Anti-Hero Druid, a druid who was born from all the hated and discarded parts of nature: Bugs, Fungi, Mold, all nasty stuff like that.

Oh my god circle of spouts is SO fun. I made a crazy diseased rat man for a holloween campaign and it was SO

Druid of the Spore / Monk was my first Spore Druid and it was freaking amazing.

The subcoass is really easily reflavored as well. Ive played it as more of a spirits druid, the spirits guiding and protecting me, raising corpses and ripping apart enemies. I just asked my DM to let me change the spell list a little bit and it fit absolutely wonderfully.

Here's one for you: A druid died in the underdark and their body became colonized and raised by strange fungus related to myconids. Their consciousness faded slightly when they first died, but now they're awake again, and they're far angrier than they ever were in life. They hate the one that killed them. They're engraged about being left for dead, about the loss of their old life, the inability to ever go back, the fact that the fungus that is slowly consuming them is the only source of their new life. They're angry at their enemies, their old party, the fungus, and most of all themselves. They're now a circle of spores druid/barbarian multiclass

You sold me on it. I'm finally going to try mushrooms.

Circle of Spores is a fairly tanky druid as well, second only to the Circle oc the Moon, so it gets great survivability on top of everything else^^

He forgot an option of having a Druid that's high on mushrooms which somehow gave him those powers.

Fun note. I made a spore druid, flavoring the spores as pathogens (the character was a boss for the players, he was made by a prior game villain) his name was disease.

My spore druid Cora didn't use mushrooms.
Her spores were more like caustic red glitter flakes that came from her. I loved her so much I made her in BG3 4 years after leaving the table I played her at.

I feel like, saying any class or sub-class is bad, is like saying spaghetti or pizza tastes bad, you just need to spice it your way. Maybe you like your ranger with some oregano or your paladin with some ranch dressing.

I had this idea that was a warforged druid that was made of magical wood. I think it would be super cool to make him a circle of spores druid with mushrooms growing out of gaps in the wood hes made of. And with old mans beard moss as a beard.

I’ve seen a scenario where you flavor circle of spores like a “circle of death” Druid since there spells have a lot of necrotic aspects to them. Looks interesting to me.
