For literary fiction, I recommend Commonwealth by Ann Patchett. Or anything by my queen Sally Rooney. The best book I've read this year is The Devil All the Time by Donald Ray Pollack. My favorite fiction book of all time is Chocolat by Joanne Harris.

This is a great video! Love your explanations from genres to the book and the characters. You give a short synopsis of each book, without too much bias…just enough for us, the reader, to look into and choose a book! Always look forward to your videos!

This was a good video idea. A little constructive criticism here: I would like to see/hear some books that haven’t been talked about so much on booktube already. Do you have some more unique or less mainstream booktube books? Thanks for your work.

I listened to The Unhoneymooners on Audible while driving to see a friend. I wasn't' sure if I was going to like it but I really loved it. I laughed out loud a lot of times. I loved the way Ethan called Olive different funny names all the time. I read Home Before Dark last year. I really liked it! And yes I read The Martian a few years back and it was really good! I am not a fan of Sci Fi usually because there is too much technical talk and I don't understand it, lol. I am kind of that way with Fantasy too. But, I am trying to get more into it. I just need to open my mind to it, lol.

Have you read Code Name Helene? I think you would love it! It is historical fiction but also with some romance and it is SO good!

I have transitioned from YA to adult books more in the last few years. I'm glad you have too.

I LOVE Victoria Schwab. The Archived series was an addiction of mine... I just couldn’t stomach Vicious for some reason. I tried multiple times an dnf very early in each time. It still bothers me to this day.

It's interesting that you liked Vicious more than Vengeful. I'm the opposite. I loved Vengeful and I'm so glad I decided to read it. I did like Vicious but I found the explanations for how they became EO's a bit, I dunno I wouldn't say boring or anything because it was necessary to understand the story, but I found I enjoyed Vengeful more because all the explaining was done and Schwab could just get into the meat of the story. I did find the ending unsatisfying though and if/when she finishes the last book I'm hoping it concludes things well.

Loved this! Definitely keep them going. Romance is kind of hard for me, not quite sure why though. I do like a good rom-com though. Yeah science and I don't get along. My 7th grade science teacher worked with me, 8th grade helped me to totally understand, the best I could. High school was a whole different ballpark and state. I was struggling, but made it through by the skin of my teeth until one year. Anytime I'd ask her for the help, her answer was "you should have been listening". Um hello I was! Anyway, I warned my mom how disappointed she'd be in my report card because of science. She knew I didn't do well, so she wasn't all that worried about it, until the last half of the year and all I got were F's. I was struggling hard and made my mom truly listen this time. Mom called the school, the teacher returned the call. I coincidentally answered the phone at the same time and was about to hang up until I heard who was in the other end. I wanted to hear what that teacher had to say. In the end she didn't have much of a chance to say anything. I guess between the first call to the school, the onegfrom the teacher, then my mom calling back to the school, my last report card made an amazing high enough score to pass the whole year ending science with a 70. Always wondered what the school said to the teacher, because she didn't seem to want to budge with my mom.
