I'm new to snowrunner and new to your channel, I just recently 100% Michigan and have been working on Alaska. I know in a lot of your videos you're concerned about how long your videos are, but personally I really like the detail and extra information. There's a ton about this game that isn't explained very well and it's awesome being able to get additional tips and techniques. I feel like there's too much nuance to this game to just throw out blanket statements.

I think northern aegis installation should’ve been in it’s own category, the difficulty of this map alone is INSANE. It’s like so dry and dead and empty, i remember when amur first released i played the map and tried to “scout” this shit hole with chevy ck1500. Closest thing i’ve ever got to cry in this game

Great video Nathan. I think you make a great point that a lot of people forget that It’s hard to judge the difficulty if you using really strong trucks especially mod trucks. If the maps get progressively harder along with the trucks they don’t feel as hard because you have better trucks. But if you do the harder map with the same trucks say mid tier or lower then you notice it.

Northern Aegis Installation is made hard not only because of the extremely difficult terrain, but that there is no support for anything. I remember having to shuttle almost my entire fleet in just for support, repairs, fuel, extra cargo, extra trailers, cranes, everything. All the way through Urksa River having a support line of vehicles to make the runs faster and easier. When having a support network of almost two dozen trucks from the garage all the way deep into the installation, it really puts that map into perspective.

Amur almost changed how I played snowrunner, I went from a garage of mostly north American trucks, to mostly Russian. I know it's possible to use north American trucks on it, but I did not have the patience to do it. Only the Russians would build a rocket launch site in snowiest, muddiest, iciest part of nowhere lol.

Great video. As someone who like to use some B/C tier trucks, i mostly do agree with this tier list. Good thing to know that i'm not the only one who doesn't like carry around the scout prototype exploration unit.

The flooded foothills map is hard no doubt but that lake in the middle looks worse then it actually is as there are quite a few places where u can just drive right over to get into that thin middle section. The best path is in betwinn the wooden bridges and the Garage and thereis even a small road leading u to the river where u can cross it. The bottom is very rocky so u may have some issues with grip but its for sure faster then going around that entire lake. Also the East side of the map look like u would need chains to traverse it but u dont need chains for any part of it. The only road that could be abit tricky is the far East road leading up to the Factory as its a long big uphill that is very ice but even without chains u can get up there if u keep 1 side of your tires as far right as possable and u will gain grip from the snow. I got up there several times with the Kenworth 963 carrying a very heavy load of 4 steel beams and i still got it up there in a truck that absolutly sucks at going uphill. Using a truck with chains and a lighter load for that part is ofc gonna be easier but even without chains so long as u stick close to the edge of the road to gain grip u will make it up there and if u happen to struggle there are solid winch points in the most icy section of the hill.

EDIT: Oh and for the love of god DO NOT fully complete the 3 conveyor belt contracts untill u are entierly done with the map becouse they will block off alot of the shortcuts on the map forcing u to drive around the map.

Awesome teir list Nate very close to how mine would be. Good old lake Kovd....It's a map that I hated at first but now I love going on the icy routes. haha Take care and god bless!

The interesting thing of burned forest is I just used the water tower in Albany next to the tunnel for everything and used a high range uad international to go on the main road for 90% of the water route and then used the derry to get through the mud at the mission spots.

I am glad to see Imandra in the top 3. After playing the vanilla maps I did Austria (I wanted the Earthroamers, but enjoyed it so much I just did the whole region), and dabbled in Maine (just for the Forrester) - my Tayga 6436 is still parked there. I went and 100%'ed Kola and had a really hard time in Imandra.

Going from the brutally difficult imandra to the brutally tedious flooded foothills actually made me quit the game for a year back when those seasons originally came out

Can you do a video on the best order to play the regions (the seasons) ?

I use less popular trucks on very difficult maps, I use the P512 on Yukon, and the only time I have an issue is trying to deliver logs to the sawmill

When you have kids and a life it's hard to find time to play SR. So I have used many overpowered Mods on a normal playthrough because honestly i don't have the time. Yet on newer maps I honestly try the trucks I never used before. Especially the Ford CLK 9000 and the Transtar, it's hard but fun. Granted I hey basically nothing done in the 20 or 30 minutes I get to sit down but it feels different.
I also saw that the PS5 shows hours played and I have 924 but I believe it's because everytime I start playing my wife walks in, I either hit pause or don't and come back the next day to find I'm out of gas.

Would you say the Tayga 6455 is an intermediate truck that isn’t too op but gets the job done? I got the Mastodon DLC a couple days after getting the game and it kinda trivialized the game so I want to stop using it

I can’t use strong trucks on the newer maps because of how much easier they are compared to older maps. When revisiting Yukon it felt great to have an excuse to use the stronger trucks alongside the usual fleets.
