Ravine CHIMPS was an impossible task to complete. No really, it was literally impossible because no matter what people did, one bloon always seemed to leak. That is, until Ninja Kiwi added a small change that would allow the impossible challenge of beating Ravine CHIMPS to finally be completed.

But for real it really is kinda cool to have to interact with the map in order to beat it. I think Workshop started it but this one is a nice touch too.

I actually really like the idea of having to utilize a little map easter egg in order to beat CHIMPS. I feel like CHIMPS is supposed to be the ultimate test of your mastery of a map, so I definitely think easter eggs and other little tricks like that should be fair game.

All the people saying the should have playtested the map first. When BTD6 came out it released with two expert maps. The developers believed that both were impossible to beat in CHIMPS mode. The community very much proved them wrong. If we have the standard of an expert map be “possible for the devs to beat”, then they aren’t really expert maps

Honestly they should change the sword to one click so it's easy to accidentally discover the Easter egg since it's required to beat the map.

I don't mind ultra hard difficultys not being designed around in theory (many games have endless modes designed to eventually become impossible for example) but when there's achievements involved then it should be reasonably discoverable without a guide.

It's definetly the hardest map imo. After that, Bloody Puddles, then Sanctuary. The other ones are pretty ok imo. Even though that's probably just personal perception, bc I fucked up on Sanctuary quite often.

Still a garbage map for CHIMPS. It's like all those Daily Advanced maps that only have one possible solution and it's the most obscure arcane bullshit possible. EG: "Monkey Knowledge is allowed, and you need it on, but if you have one specific MK active you cant win."

Wow. I really like the format. I have mad respect for the story tellers that make 10-60 minute videos describing the history of things, but I'm usually never invested - just curious. A minute is perfect!

I feel like this could be solved just by hiring some expert players to test it for them, i can understand NK not being pros at the game but if for harder maps like this they could be like " hey jajajosh/whoever could you test this map on chimps for like 8 hours we'll pay you"

i 100% think it is bad game design, even if it is cool for some. i get that people say "it's a challenge" or "it's a puzzle" but the puzzle shouldnt be "find the obsecure easter egg to beat this otherwise impossible round" it should be "how do i beat this round with the things i can do". locking it behind an easter egg with no real indication of it existing is, infact, bad design for a challenge not based around the easter egg
