...C-Reactive protein (CRP) is an acute phase reactant, which means its plasma level increases in cases of inflammation, and decreases back to normal when you cure the inflammation.

Normal plasma CRP level is 0.8 to 3 mg/L

Both C-reactive protein (CRP), and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) increase in cases of inflammation, that's the definition of acute phase reactants.

C peptide is a component of preinsulin, which binds two alpha chains of insulin molecule. C peptite test is done to differentiate type 1 DM from type 2, because c peptide is available in the body only if there's endogenous insulin secretion

"I will diagnose you on your crp..said no doctor ever" except my husband's rheumatologist. BTW, he was bit by a tick, his ANA was 1:40, and she prescribed Methotrexate. I said no, no, no prescribe him doxycyline. 3 days on doxycyline and he went from bedridden to ready to go dancing.

I love your videos. But also, knowing your love for complex conditions, I would LOVE to know your thoughts on my lab results!
I am a very complicated and rare individual, and am finally getting the proper health care that I’ve needed for the past 15 years.
Keep doing what you are doing - your passion radiates though your videos and I appreciate the stable and confidence source of knowledge that you share!

By the way, I have found some difference between pneumonia and pneumonitis!

"Pneumonitis (noo-moe-NIE-tis) is a general term that refers to inflammation of lung tissue. Technically, pneumonia is a type of pneumonitis because the infection causes inflammation. Pneumonitis, however, is usually used by doctors to refer to noninfectious causes of lung inflammation." (- Mayo Clinic)
