Thanks so much for watching. And liking. And commenting. And subscribing. And shopping using the links in the description. Yeesshhh... I sound so needy, huh?

I greatly appreciated the shutout to Aurora Tech! I enjoy her stoic style.

As a consumer, one of the trickiest things to do when comparing different products is correct for the enthusiasims and styles of different reviewers. It's extremely natural for a person to find one reviewer more appealing than another simply because of the way the reviewers structure their videos and present their information, with the result that often a consumer ends up picking one product over another not because the product is a better match for their needs but because the presenter is more appealing to their tastes.

Which means I, personally, appreciate it when reviewers are able to compare several similar products, because while I still have to account for the differences between your preferences and mine, it's the same "correction factor" on every product. So I hope this video does well enough that you end up doing more in this vein in the future!

I think the idea for a video on large 3d prints is a great idea and something I'd love to see! Large 3d prints have always caught my eye :)

I love that you stood up to your sponsor (anycubic) and were honest with both them and us 👏

I like this format; nice introduction into what is out there for those of us that aren’t completely “plugged in” to what are the newest printers coming out and in a decent time frame per printer; definitely support more of these!

I have the QIDI PLUS3 and the heated chamber is very useful. pc PA CF or GF filament prints without warping, whereas other enclosed printers can have problems with warping when printing some large objects. You can recover the Klipper via SSH but it may not be easy so they send you a new emmc.

Ive had my ankermake M5 since kickstarter days so of course i had to get the M5C, and i gotta say the stuff ankermake has learned from the M5 to the M5C is insane. The M5C is seriously in consideration for replacing my small print farm currently, it just works so well i think it goes beyond even just beginner stuff. For the price that it is its wild i havent seen it take off even more. Bambu P1S is REALLY nice but its a significant bit more expensive then the M5C and IMO not worth unless you need it specifically for AMS or the enclosure

Yes please on large format printers. 🙏🏾

Love this type of honest quick review comparison. There are so many in-depth videos out there. It’s nice to get this style so we can see the spectrum and even be able to recommend something to a friend if they are looking for something different than myself.

Like the comparison format and also the single machine reviews. Yes to the large format printer episode, I have a Modix and there are very few channels that cover 600×600 or bigger printers. It would be nice to have a printing tips and troubleshooting episode for these large format machines.

I’m really tempted by the Qidi X-Max 3, but know I’ll be super annoyed if Bambu Labs releases an XL version. How likely do you think this will be in the near future?

Not a huge problem waiting for a few months as I’ve got zero spare cash 😂

Xmax 3 is very tempting esp at that build volume & being enclosed im hoping the phrozen arco is good

Would appreciate a top large size 3d printers comparison. Roughly 400*400*400 build volume and not bedslingers because they take up to much space to fit in a closed or on a table.

The only reason, why I bought a printer with 300x300 mm bed, was to be able to print bigger prints and not limit myself! So, please, come with that big prints video!

Can we get a full review of the QIDI X MAX 3? It seems to have a ton of potential. I’m considering pulling the trigger on one. Would love to hear your take. It seems like a solid printer with a few quirks. I can’t believe bambu doesn’t have a printer this size yet… I’m tired of waiting. Current printer is MK3S+. Prusa missed the mark by not getting a core XY enclosure printer to market.

The SV07 and SV07 Plus look great, but the SV06 and SV06 Plus still seem to have better feature sets except for running Marlin instead of Klipper. I'm still leaning towards the SV06 Plus the most. Is there any major reason I'm missing to go SV07 Plus instead?

awesome review, ive had my ankermake M5C since it released, and while i agree its extremely user friendly more so than any ender prusa or bambu printer ive been hands on with, i believe you can actually grow with this printer! you may not be able to swap firmware, but with its all metal hotend you can move to advanced materials, even engineering grade which no beginner should touch IMO. But when they learn what the slicer settings do and all the ins and outs of 3d printing the absolutely can grow with the printer. The most recent updates also added in precision modes which so far with what ive printer works fairly well. It allows you to do 0.05mm layer heights and actually seems to work pretty well for miniatures as well as a FDM printer can anyways. Plus, ankermake is very intune with their community and seem to be interested in making upgrades and accessories for the printer, so who knows whats to come later! theyve already discussed making a screen for the M5C and have mentioned possibly doing a camera. also to your point about locked down slicers, the ankermake printer does not require you to use the ankermake slicer, it only requires that if you want to send wirelessly but since you can load gcode into the slicer you dont even have to slice there you can slice in any slicer you want then load the gcode to send it wirelessly.

I’ve built a Siboor V0.2 CNC kit and a Voron V0.1 (V0.2 S1 in progress) and I agree with your reviews of them. There are better toolhead options besides the stealthburner, I think that would improve them a lot. Considering I print ABS/ASA mainly it doesn’t need much part cooling. The LDO kit also doesn’t come with the lcd controller which is another $30. The LDO kit comes with a hiwin X rail which is better quality.

I agree with you though that the voron v0.2 build isn’t for the feint of heart. But once it’s tuned it’s like beast of a printer.

One comment to the Voron 0.2. There is the FANTASTIC Dragonburner Toolhead. It uses 4010 Blowers instead of 3010 Blowers and has MASSIVE Amounts of Cooling compared to the stock one. All you need are two 4010 Fans. For the extruder I would use the Mini Sherpa, as It works with the stock internals and is lighter.
