Lumiere really lives up to his Destrier title! With that beautiful, strong canter you are developing together and his powerful yet elegant appearance, I don’t have to try hard to picture him bravely carrying a fully armoured knight into a medieval battle scene.

In this fast paced world where people want everything now, it is wonderful to see that you don't expect these beautiful horses to learn and perform what is expected, instantly.

I came back to watch this video after the most recent herd update, and I'm so happy you have Mr. Lumi. He seems to be doing very well with you, and I love that he's a fancy gorgeous buckskin and your company is Free Spirit! He's the fancy version of Spirit, and he just matches your aesthetics so well! I hope we get a photoshoot where he's wearing a pop of red while you wear a red lip or bow and all black! His coat matches your hair color, and it is so striking when you twin with him

Lumiere is noticeably smoother and more fluid in his movements. When you first rode him on video he looked "clunky". It's very noticeable. He's really coming along amazingly.

He looks so pretty when he was in front of the barn with the pink petunias! It’d be so cool to see flowers woven into his mane and tail for like a photo shoot (cause he’s just so Disney dreamy!)

If you think about it, his first 7 years he thought his job was going to be (well you know). So it kind of makes sense he is more whoa than go. Now he is learning a new job so it’s going to take a minute. Actually impressed by how well he is doing.

It is so difficult sometimes in the horse world (and the dog world) to get truly accurate information about a possible purchase. Not always, but it is something that everyone should keep in mind especially those who are newbies in horse purchase world. When we bought our first horse, for my young daughter, he was already loaded up when we arrived and we found out not long afterwards that he was a terrible loader and never got really comfortable with it despite many hours of patient, non-punitive training and we eventually had to move him on so that she could show. We also found out that he had been very aggressive towards riders, but he was actually always an angel with our daughter, kind of a perfect first horse, although he bucked off her best friend when she tried him. I think there had been a lot of abuse and he was an appy and they have long memories. Other interactions we had when buying horses was much more positive and rewarding, and we did buy another appy, so it is just something to be aware of. It is wonderful that he ended up with Shae who treats all of her animals with love and respect and patience - he really lucked out there. Such a lovely horse. Thank you for sharing his progress with us.

Yeah despite the disappointment of how Lumi's sale was handled, it is responsible to not try to stir up drama online with the previous owner. By keeping it vague, it just lets us viewers know to be aware and cautious even when purchusing through private sale. Plus he's still an incredible horse, maybe just a different one than you thought you were getting at first. But Shea you are the best at always meeting the animals where they are at. 💕
