Can You Go Back and Change Your Alimony?
Показать описание
Looking to modify alimony down the road, after your divorce is final?
1st: We look at your existing court order to see if there are parameters you've agreed to that we'll need to follow.
2nd: Alimony can generally be modified when there is a substantial change in financial circumstances (re-marriage, long-term disability, career change, etc).
3rd: What you SHOULD NOT do is agree to a change with your former spouse "on the side" without notifying the court. You need to change the divorce court's order WITH the court - in order for your decision to be formal and to avoid being held in contempt of court (which happens EVEN IF you agree on things but don't go to court to make the change official).
Let Freed Marcroft's team come up with a real strategy to help move you forward. Call 860-560-8160.
