Hello. I’m a newbie but not a newbie to trucking. My husband is a Owner Operator of a flatbed and I just want to learn dispatching to see if I could possibly be of some support to him so he can break away from contracting with companies. And of course earn some extra income as a SAHW. I know the call was a fake call and I did look at some loads on DAT to get a better view at how much they are offering for some of these loads. You mentioned a good baseline being how much the per mile average turns out to be. A real load on DAT listed from Georgia to Texas, 890 miles with payout of $1, 750. ($1.97/mi), realistically would they come up almost $1000 in this load to get your drivers $3/mile?
