How to fill your sketchbook (and love it)

I used to be really inconsistent with my sketchbook. I didn't get why 'sketching everyday' didn't work for me. Instead, I've developed habits that make keeping a consistent sketchbook practice way easier, and I talk about how you can try them out for yourself! I've found that focusing on consistency over perfection and using little hacks to make my sketchbook more approachable has been key. Having a sketchbook full of material that I can mine for later projects has been invaluable, and I can now say I love my sketchbook again.

I usually find daily planners unapproachable and never thought to use it like a drawing pad! Also, the post-it note suggestion could totally help with practicing composition designing thumbnails. Thanks for sharing!

Do you have any brand recommendations that make planners like the one you use but for cheaper? I feel like if I spend so much just on a planner to doodle in it will make me want to not mess up and stuff. I just want something simple and small yet still well made and creators put care into designing and stuff, but worry that not just any kind will do.
