I have been learning for a while now but still find myself on gas when using the clutch and it is the number one habit I cannot seem to break, it's like I forget that I can rest and I don't always have to be on gas. Hi there, ive been driving a manual for years and am taking my test in a few weeks. When I am going down the gears to slow down, say, for a junction or roundabout, the car jumps a little bit while I am braking. If I try to downshift and slow down even more I feel as if I'm bogging down and in the wrong gear. Is it normal for a car to sometimes not be 100% smooth?
