I personally dislike "The Dawn of the Jedi" comic a lot, because it wrongly interprets the notion of balance in the Force. The Dark side of the Force is not the fundamentally different "other" side of the Force, but simply a side effect of its egotistical usage. Bringing balance does not mean an equilibrium between the Force and the Dark side of the Force, but the destruction of those who use the Force selfishly.

From my perspective I think trying to make a head canon may prove to be difficult sooner or later. With Disney putting SE hints and nods in modern stuff (Rebels Comics ECT) it will prove difficult to ignore it soon. I just have to accept the sequel era as canon so that Starwars doesnt get more confusing. Personaly i NEVER considered the Old Republic as my head canon it was just too crazy to, me. Now its not technically canon which I do enjoy. However I did not enjoy Episode 7 after initial launch. Why? Because its just a rehash of Episode 4 whether people admit it or not. I'm hyped to see the Last Jedi though . Hoping for a different experience. As for Disney Canon so far it fits to me but tbh they could have made movies focused on different characters all together after Episode 6 to help with the plot. Tbh the sequel trilogy does indeed ruin the original trilogy for the sole fact that it makes ALL those movies seem absolutely pointless in the long run...
