If the processor is different
Then it's 2 different phones. They shouldn't be marketed as the same device or at the same price.

This comparison shouldn't exist. You shouldn't cope with saying it's almost not noticeable. Both of them are just as expensive, so you should be getting exactly what you paid for. Or else discount the Exynos version by 20% to make it fair.

exynos has many problems:
1. overheating
2. worse battery life
3. performance loss after a while
4. in some generation worse performance out of box.

Exynos chipsets ate garbage no matter how many videos are created to defend them I had an S20 Ultra who's battery would get warmer than 50 degrees Celsius by just opening Instagram

It used to be the opposite in the first 2 or 3 Galaxy phones. The S2's Exynos (the "true" international version) was considerably faster than the snapdragon variants. Only the S2 Plus/HD was better but because it was already made as a "superior" alternative to the normal one, and came out a little later.

The S3 Exynos was superior and true quadcore, the Snapdragon variant was slightly slower and dual core instead.

The S4, the Exynos chip was faster and more efficient once again, but for some reason it lacked LTE/4G and was HSPA+ only, so that was the negative side of that. After that, Qualcomm really started to become mainstream and make much better CPUs, while Mali and PowerVR lagged behind (Mali was considerably superior to Adreno in the past, and had more stable Open GL drivers).

I feel like he got paid to say this about exynos

It's weird how midrange Exynos chips slap, yet flagship Exynos falls behind, even against the room heater 8 Gen 1

Exynos beat Snapdragon during the S6 and S7 time. But when S8 come Snapdragon beat Exynos handily

The worst part is in the camera department. Crushed blacks/shadow detail with exynos.
It's like comparing a premium phones camera with a mid range phone. That's a scam.

The one time Exynos shined was actually not when they had both variants out, the Galaxy S6/Note 5 shipped exclusively with Exynos 7420 around the globe, and it was all around the better SOC than snapdragon in other phones at the time in terms of efficiency and reliable performance. Snapdragon 810 was a mistake and the 808 was just a bandaid product.

My first phone was the Galaxy S3 and I bought the international version with the exynos. It was totally cool for flashing custom ROMs and I love that processor. Snapdragons are horrible. I don't care how fast they are or what they can do. Keeping people from updating the firmware is just stupid. Too many smart gadgets get tossed into landfills because companies won't let people update them.

When paying for flagship. The experience should also be flagship.

Samsung should have done 1 exynos phone worldwide, not different phones for different regions! 🍀

the best is the one that is open for developers
refactoring some code can be crucial for performance

One of the bigger things for me is the camera as the color pallete seems completely shifted in the exynos.

def going for an iphone out of spite. just because I live in Europe do I have to deal with higher prices and inferior chipsets

Thank you for pointing out that its a software problem. One important thing is OpenGL on Exynos and googles laziness to force devs to use Vulkan.

Exynos not only perform better than snapdragon in Vulkan but it also consumes less energy to do so. With OpenGL it needs to translate every draw call to vulkan what causes it to always use more performance to translate that shit.

This is also the cause of these random lags.

Here's a little the latest updates the difference between SD and Exynos has been reduced so much that it's almost imperceptible under real conditions of use....what is noticeable is the much bigger difference in AI performance and battery life in favor of exynos ...and that is in 15% or more, that is, 1 hour or more SOT. The only problem is when playing games because the games are not yet optimized according to xclipse graphics, so you can count on the fingers of one hand the games that support playing at the highest settings....the photos provided by the exynos variant are better in terms of portrait photos, better night photos. ..generally the images are sharper on the exynos variant.

So the S24 ultra is snapdragon and the S24 and S24 plus Exynos chip here we go again why does the US always get the snapdragon chips Exynos are ok but run hot under load.

It changed now, Exynos 2400 has basically the same performance as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, I saw the 2 versions of the basic S24, and the tests show that the Exynos 2400 can get 5 degrees Celcius higher, but it has better processing in the images than the snapdragon, the image looks photographic like in the S8G3, compared to the Exynos version which has sharper pictures, my point is if you plan to buy the S24, both are the same phone you wouldn't go wrong with either, I think Samsung with future versions will get rid of the Snapdragon and have everything made in house, unless there is import restrictions in USA.
