The 61 US Advanced Naval Vessels which are under construction

The United States Navy has over 490 ships in both active service and the reserve fleet, with approximately 60 more which are under construction, and also few more which are in the planning stage. These vessels which are under construction are expected to be very advanced and will enter service in the foreseeable future. Let’s check out the list of all these upcoming vessels.

Fun fact: out of the Block V Virginia class subs that are named for famous WW2 subs, only one has a predecessor sub that still exists: USS Silversides, whose predecessor is now a museum ship over in Muskegon, Michigan.

Personally I wouldn't mind it if the Navy built a couple new Hospital Ships. We currently have two, the Comfort and the Mercy, aging ships that are really repurposed San Clemente-class oil tankers, we could use some new ones built from the keel up to be hospital ships.

Ironically whats needed for the navy is 2 brand new hispital ships, 10 dsrv's, some floating dry docks, no zumwalt destroyed and more lcacs.

The building ship rate of the US Navy is slower than the PLA. The PLA also have a lot of anti ship missiles.

Imagine having 6 Aircraft carriers and 12 Escort Carriers (Landing Assault Ships) in a world where the second strongest navy only has 2 Aircraft Carriers

Even do the US Coast Guard is a separate institution still under the US Navy, and they have ordered several ships too

The Navy needs to upgrade their Support Ship Fleet AOs, AEs, ASs and Supply Fleet

I am seeing they are spending lots of money for many decades in the future to modernize the Navy

We have plenty of COMBAT Ships being built but no Support ships/ Auxiliary Fleet is old. without them, it's hard to carry on a battle anywhere in the world.
