My Grandpa was in the 2/10th Battalion (The Adelaide Rifles) and I've read the unit history, but seeing the actions on your maps make the situation so much clearer.

As a Chinese who migrated to Australia, I had no idea how hard the Australian troops fought in the pacific war until this documentary. (Most Chinese, including history fans, devote their attention mainly to US and British participation). I only knew about the disaster they experienced in the Gallipoli campaign.

I will pay my proper respect on the next Anzac Day.

The level of detail put into this series is unbelievable. It is what makes this the greatest docu-series ever made on the Pacific war. Thank you so much for putting so much into this series. It is without a doubt one of the most detailed and researched series I have ever come across. Your narration and animation make it so easy to follow the ebb and flow of the battles. Japanese miserable fate always reminds us the importance of supply lines and reserve units. Banzai or lack of surrender are the extra, and are just sidekicks on history aside from shocking appearance.
