Beautiful! And thanks for always showing both your hands and the chord charts, I for whatever reason find it difficult if I am just looking at an instructor's hands or the charts alone.

It’s amazing how radio killed them in the 70s by overusing it in their call signs.

Thanks for the reminder!

Lovem the maj 7 chord. I have a song whcich actually ends on the fourth maj7 and the sung note the the maj 7th note of the chord. It has a yearning questioning unresolved feel. I call it the "why" chord. as a matter of fact "why" is the word sung in the song.

You can use it in smooth jazz....my points of view❤

Ooo like that, simple but move it to a more "I'm begging my emotion!" Type sound. Like importance to resolve

I LERVE the Neapolitan (Subdominant) Chord. It has such a lovely colour and really gets a listener's attention. The way it is used in this video effects a lovely cadence. Sounds excellent in ballads. As well as iim7, bIIM7, IM7, I sometimes use IM7, bIIM7, bIIIM7, bIIM7, IM7 as a final cadence. I recognise this is a different use to that in the video but it's just something I like to 'trot out' occasionally. I never get tired of exploring harmony. Thanks Jens. :)

My favourite progression. This in key of D with inversion from E string against open b and e is nice. 775700, 665700, 554600. Because of you I know what the name is of this progression.
