This sounds weird but the way this guy plays guitar makes me think about how he must absolutely have his life together.

You have a very natural ability to make theory sound fun. Beautiful.

This man has taught me more about theory than I ever learned in school. Simply explained, easy to follow and understand examples. I wish my music teacher was more like this!

This is great! As an ambient guitarist, chords are always a huge step towards finding harmonies that are so expressive.

Guitarist of 18 years, and the way you explain theory is so peaceful and intuitive. Thank you

I've been teaching for 15 years and I feel you are calming, direct, and just a perfect teacher man. Keep up the good deeds and work and may God continue to bless you <3

Paul Davids is some beautiful fusion between ASMR and video lessons, with awesome hair+beard. What a man.

One of my favorite open voicings is this Emaj9 that I kind of discovered for myself while trying to replicate the chords from Radiohead's Idioteque on a guitar.
From low E to high E, it goes: 0-11-x-11-x-11
It has this awesome, mystical feeling to it, which is probably enhanced a bit by the fact that it's missing the 5th (optional for jazz chords, afaik).
You can also do a really eerie Emin9(maj7) by lowering the III: 0-10-x-11-x-11
Try it!

When you added the Major 7 I got chills. Lovely lesson. Gave me some great ideas for a song my band has been working on! Thanks!

One of the most interestingly profound & classiest lessons I’ve found online. When I saw it was free I had to do the monthly support thing for this channel. Really professional teaching teaching.

A reverb tone makes these chords even more beautiful.
I love playing them with the reverb tone on!

THIS is the lesson I've been needing! it's simple yet so useful! When trying to write a song on guitar it's so hard to make it sound unique and interesting and this is something I will definitely use! I'm kind of a beginner btw.

I've been teaching music for 5 months now and can only thank you for your clear explanations which I try to incorporate in my lessons. Thank you Paul, you've been an inspiration to me not just as a musician, but as a teacher.
