Portugal has been on every "top travel destination" blog for years. Over a 2-week road trip we explored the beautiful castles, incredible history, and rugged coastline, from Lisbon to Sintra down to the world-renowned Algarve beaches and caves, and then all the way up to the rolling vineyards of the Douro Valley wine region in this fascinating slice of Europe.

WHO ARE WE, YOU ASK?
Well, thanks for asking. We are Georg, Tara, Liv and Bodhi, a German-American family living in Colorado in the United States. We're on a quest to travel to and report back from every country on this bright blue dot we call home. The word "Fernweh" in our channel name is German and translates to "the ache for distant places".

I'm brazilian and I live in Brazil but I always spend my holidays in Portugal. Portugal has everything that any other country has and, above all, it is a peaceful and safe country. Unfortunately, a video with just over 15 minutes doesn't show even 1% of the natural beauties, historical monuments, castles, medieval towns, ecological villages and much more that Portugal has to offer. Portugal has hundreds of small villages (aldeias) with a tourist structure and dozens of medium-sized cities in which the visitor cannot imagine what he can find. I'm suspicious to talk about Portugal because I love this country.

What the heck did I just watch.... *mind blown* . The editing, the sound design, the storytelling. I cannot believe I just watched a 16:36 long video and felt disappointed when it ended because it was too short... You told the story about Portugal so beautifully! Man, you got some skills!
We are on our way to Portugal for the winter and I know about all these places. This video just confirms all of our reasons for going there! (currently in Prague, slow traveling our way from Northern Europe to the south).

I’ve watched this video with smile on my face and light in my heart. My country of Portugal represented in the best way possible by such great people. Yes it has the sun and the beaches, the palaces and the wines, but what makes Portugal so majestic is it’s people. Obrigado!

Portugal is where my heart is, right at the moment when I saw the beach of Almoçageme I knew this will be an amazing film. You could catch in pictures why I love this country from the bottom of my heart since 1994, the first time I stepped foot there, and why I will move there one day.. You showed the world my happy place and I‘m convinced that I can speak for many, many people.

So glad you had the opportunity to discover this amazing country. Portugal is truly beautiful and so underrated. I just love living here and don't regret one bit leaving Canada behind. The locations you visited are a must but you guys just scratched the surface of what is there to discover. Hopefully you'll be back to discover much more!
