Well, I'm not an Apple user and I think it's very embarrassing ... for Microsoft. Surface studio is 30% heavier, as thick as a MacBook from 15 years ago. And it's 60% more expensive? Feel free to explain to me what am I missing.

The common issue with every PC laptop today is that they’re effectively desktop computers in a laptop form factor - where you need to be plugged in all the time to even get close to the M1’s power and efficiency. Intel should be embarrassed - it’s so understandable why Apple moved away from them and the entire computer world should be thanking Apple for showing everyone what’s possible when you move past the x86 compute process.

I assume that for the price of a reasonably specs studio I can get MBP/MBA + iPad + Pencil, have dual screen setup, in case I need it. Thickness of those two combined would be similar too 🤔

I definitely want to see how the Surface Laptop Studio performs with the i7 and the 350Ti. For me, it wouldn't have to beat the MacBook Pro in performance for me to prefer it. It'd just have to perform well. I'm a fan of the Surface products and one-device-to-do-everything packages. I love the design, pen input, and touchscreen. The great speakers would be a nice bonus, too.

As an M1 MacBook Pro user, I am sure I love everything about this laptop. The fans rarely kick in, and even when they do, the sound is very low. But bam, the speaker is a lot better on Surface. Been a fan of Surface since 2013, and I really love what they’ve done this year.

I think I’ll go with a much faster MacBook Air for half the price. There’s no point in buying a windows laptop unless you specifically need one for work or gaming (wouldn’t apply to any Surface device).

The draw of the M1 is 3 fold:
1) faster, cleaner processing
2) no need for a fan
3) better battery life
All the other comparisons don't matter, superficial at best.
