There's an exclusivity deal behind it, we all know it.

And Intel is trying their best to keep as many of their high end customers to NOT switch over to AMD. So far, it's working. They only need to do it for a while longer until they get their hybrids on the market. I hope AMD pushes harder to lock in some of the cooler laptops as well.

It's sad that the Surface Book form factor got replaced with this before MS wised up (or Intel caught up) and we finally got the option to buy a Surface Book without an obsolete processor.

Does anyone else remember the Vaio Flip 13 from back when Sony still made laptops? That thing was so ahead of its time in terms of design and im glad MS brought it back somewhat.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Microsoft has a contract with Intel stating they exclusively use intel processors on flagship laptops for X amount of years

THIS is the one I’ve been waiting for. I was concerned about that 4 core chip and it looks like my concern was justified. What a strange decision for MS to create such a dope form factor but stop short of the finish line.
