This one was awesome to film as it took me right to the location in California that started it all; where "Patty" was filmed by Roger Peterson and Bob Gimlan. I'm alone at my cottage in Northern Ontario on a dark and stormy night while doing this directors commentary for you all. Enjoy!!

Directed By Les Stroud
Starring Les Stroud, Bob Gimlan

I was born in 1988. All of my peers have more respect for Les Stroud than he knows. I just dont think he gets the impact he had on a whole generation. We all love and respect him.

I would like to hear an episode of you just sitting there in the cabin telling some of the strange things that has happened to you in the woods over the years!

Wood burning stove for heat and cooking, candles for light and a fully stocked wine rack. Pure heaven.

Les, your voice is not annoying. It has entertained me for a generation and lulled me to sleep late at night. Ive watched every single production of yours several times. Your delivery is always excellent.

Hahaha Les sipping his wine getting progressively more defensive and confrontational is quite entertaining. And that cottage looks so cozy!

I live in Willow Creek, and grew up about 30 miles downstream from Hoopa, on the Klamath river, I'm a member of a neighboring tribe.
I've seen footprints that could only belong the creature called "Bigfoot" in the forest.
Then my wife and I encountered the creature itself one afternoon in a place we call "the high country".
I'll never forget that day.
Thanks Les, keep up the good work.

American Werewolf in London. You'r program was and is the most credible survivor show on tv. The fact you have expanded to the exploration of "the possible "while remaining both wondering and neutral about the subject matter is priceless. You make media fun and full of wonder for us average dudes.

I’m 40 now, married and have a son. My Dad and I watched your shows for years. I fancied myself an established outdoorsman. I owe you credit because of your open mindedness, dedication and down to earth view on survival. I have taken the road of hard knocks in life and survival in any any environment (urban and rural and remote) is my forte, out of pure necessity. Because of my Dad and you I was able to main a True coarse and evolve as a man.
Thank you

Les, I went on a fishing trip many many years ago to Elsas Ontario, down the Nemagosenda towards Chapleau.
I was 14 and went into the woods behind the isolated cabin we were staying at on the river.
What I saw changed my life forever, and yes Patty is a real creature or species.
Keep up the Sasquatch shows, maybe one in Ontario, I'm 62 now and I think about that day often, you can have my testimonial anytime.

It doesn't matter how many time I've watched each episode, I still keep watching. Been following you Les since 2010 on base to get myself back into the wild while serving. Thanks for being honest, personal, and helpful. Keep em coming!

My dad (Korea-era sniper) and I spent many an enjoyable hour debating the effectiveness and accuracy of Les' survival methods. One point we agreed on was this: You can take Les' word at face value. Period. Nothing more, nothing less. If he says you can boil water in a plastic bottle, you can (but it takes some fiddling around to get it positioned right.) If he says you can eat this "weed, " chow down without fear.
My dad passed before the Bigfoot episodes aired. It's sad, because he would have enjoyed them very much, as I have.

Les, thank you!

PS: "American Werewolf in London." Still the best after forty (FORTY!!) years. "Dog Soldiers" is a close second. No CG, all physical effects.

We need a video dedicated to Les' weird events. Maybe just a mini series. This was enjoyable.

People can say what they want about Les and his work, but you can’t argue that he’s as genuine as they come. That is one of a number of reasons I love your work and will watch whatever you make Les. Keep up all of the great work, you are a legend.

Les, please make another Sasquatch series or at least go back in the woods with a camera. You're the only one who could present it to the world in a fascinating rational way. You KNOW the truth and so do we. Your honesty and integrity will protect you.

Greetings from Quesnel British columbia. Hay Les, ignore all the haters. Most of us absolutely love all of your content!! One of us Canadians have lived, worked, or just camped in remote spots, and we love that cabin there in isolation. That is true peace.
