Cinematic black bars CapCut tutorial. Cinematic bars or black bars are terms used to describe the horizontal black lines that appear at the top and bottom of a screen when watching a movie or video.

These black lines are called letterbox or pillarbox, and are sometimes used by filmmakers to display images in a wider format than the standard 16:9 aspect ratio.

If you want to create Cinematic Bars to create a more dramatic and cinematic visual effect similar to the look of a cinema screen, you can rely on a popular and free video editing application called CapCut.

There are at least two tools available in CapCut to add Cinematic Bars, namely the Effects menu and the Mask tool. Both methods of adding Black Bars in CapCut have been demonstrated in this video. Therefore, please watch this video until the end.

Guys this is not in my opinion, the best way to do it!!!. If you clip onto the clip you would like to add cinematic black bars on. Head on over to the far right panel where you can see 4 tabs. Basic, Cutout, Mask and Enhance. What you want to do is check the mask box, then click the Mirror box. Adjust to your liking :)
