If you are looking for new budgeting software, I definitely recommend EveryDollar. It's my favorite one for so many reasons. I especially love the zero-based planning element of it. It will help you immensely, no matter which baby step you're on. It's available on iOS and Android mobile phones, as well as on your desktop browser(as seen in this video).

In EveryDollar, is it recommended that you adjust your planned income amount once you receive your paycheck and realize it is higher/lower than your planned amount?

My job offers this as a free perk, I never used it till now as I am trying to get my money right. It is a bit confusing but the paid version links to your bank accounts so the money coming in and going out is synced in real time

I believe this pandemic has taught us the importance of multiple streams of income, unfortunately having one job doesn't mean security. We do need think about saving money in an emergency fund.
