Like the other person commented on this… It definitely sounds more wise to get out of debt before committing to giving with some exceptions of say a mortgage. Many of us still have that mortgage debt but still strive to be generous givers whether it be to the church or other charities etc. It can be very rewarding doing this. Also, Depending on how much you make and how much you give there are also tax benefits for giving. So it can also be rewarding financially.

I dont see the Housing Food Personal Categories ?? Do you have updated training with the current categories. Also how to summarize the spending categories at the end of the month to see where the ACTUAL money was spent?

I subscribed when I realized the csv download did not function without it. But, when I download my budget the file is blank. Am I missing something?

The 4 categories of "Food, Shelter, Utilities and Transportation" do not show up in my "Every Dollar". I suspect that Every Dollar has been updated since this video was originally made in 2021. It is a little bit confusing.

My budget has never equalled zero always minus and I work five jobs now. I don't even have a category for groceries or food or gas still negative.... I use this only to track my expenses and bills I can't make a zero budget unless I cut out electricity or house payments

We just downloaded the app..I’m self employed… you have no category for taxes. My husband works for a company. You never say if net income or gross income, no property taxes, license renewals, bus or car passes etc but security???
