Asthma, anaphylaxis, and COPD all lead to broncho-constriction and wheezing, but through different mechanisms.

In asthma, exposure to allergens or irritants triggers inflammation and tightening of airway muscles, narrowing the bronchial tubes. Anaphylaxis causes an acute allergic reaction that rapidly constricts airways, while COPD, characterized by chronic inflammation and airway remodeling, leads to obstructed airflow that causes wheezing.
