I think something like this would be perfect for a small business setting, a student, or something to have in a guest room (if you have one in your home).
Yes it's not the most powerful machine with the specs you'd need for hardcore gaming. But for on-the-go less intensive applications like YouTube, email, FaceBook, online shopping, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc I think something like this is more than enough.

I like how it has expandable storage and supports an external keyboard. I've never owned a tablet or anything like that before, but I think this would be a nice gift that I can get for my parents so they can use.

ended up paying $707 for the surface go 8gb ram 128gb ssd, pen, type cover. its really not a bad deal when compared to the 10.5inch ipad pro. Definitely solid enough for on-the-go Microsoft office use, email, internet browsing, netflix, etc, etc. the thick bezels make it very comfortable on the hand. When I use my 12.9 inch ipad pro, i feel very limited in usability, even with the type cover and pen, its still limited to app store apps.
