The Surface Go is Microsoft's smallest and cheapest tablet yet, with specs that would make hardware nerds laugh. But in many ways, it brings Microsoft closer to its original dream for the Surface line: It's almost as light as an iPad, but it can also run most of the Windows apps you need.

Samsung's table has one deal-breaker. It barely gets one year software updates. After that, it will be pretty much a paperweight, unless you are the kind of person who does not mind using Windows XP now.

It's 400 dollars offgiosly it won't run triple AAA games but it's really good for doing productivity work

Couple nice features not mentioned here are micro-sd slot under the stand, you can connect additional monitors and use as desktop via either usb-c dock or using a surface dock (uses surface connector), front facing 5MP camera is probably the best I've used (video calls). Performance will cater for your standard browsing + office work on the 8GB memory version. Minecraft played well as well. Thought its a refreshing portable all-in-one actually

I tried it out at the store last week and it was pretty nice,

The keyboard was a bit too small, and I type on the Dvorak layout so my fingers are always resting on the keys so I notice the size a lot more than a Qwerty user.
Might be good for my Mom as an iPad replacement.

Thanks. Just a quick question: would it be possible to charge it with Galaxy Note 8 USB-C charger? I mean, I know it's going to take longer time than with the bigger charger, but would it be possible to get it charged at all overnight with a phone charger?

If you want the "best of both worlds" experience, try the Bluestacks Emulator to Emulate Android N and/or Phoenix OS Dual Boot the Android N OS onto a Surface.

Big difference between Go and 3 being the SSD and 8GB RAM.
This should have been the Go.
