Been searching all YouTube for more info on Portugal non habitual tax residency. While it doesn't answer all my questions, still seems like the best one at the moment. Thanks for the effort.

Question: If an American moves to Portugal, will they have to pay an extra 10% tax on their SS pension? And if so, why is that not considered double taxation? Thanks. Odelia.

I'm curious about social tax in Portugal. I was surprised by how high it is unless you're employed by a Portugal company. From what I understand, it's 30% of social tax. That's huge! I can't find too much info about social tax. Where could I look for it?

It seems this NHR program only make sense if you have a large amount of non-Portuguese income

What's the tax situation with NHR if you're working remotely earning income from a U.S. company but living in Portugal?

I'm from the US and I'm thinking about moving to Portugal under the NHR regime. If I work remotely for a UK company, will I have to pay taxes in the UK or will I be exempt in Portugal?

Hi Derren, as a Crypto investor, would it make sense for me to take part in the NHR program if I want to become a resident of Portugal and sell my holdings? I'm from the US, so I'm not sure if it will be considered foreign income under NHR or if it will be considered general income. Can you enlighten me on this?

If I'm a US citizen working remotely for a UK company as a contractor and decide to move to Portugal, how much tax would I need to pay if I apply for NHR? Thanks.
