This was exactly what I was looking for today. Really good explanations. Thanks!

Awesome! I would have loved to hear more about the draft analysis (and, more generally, all analysis you can do in F360 regarding an airplane design)

I have tried this similar model, using the surface modeling in Fusion 360. And I think it could be better using the surface modeling approach, since we can set the surface continuity between the wing and the winglet surfaces. If we use the solid modeling approach, it wouldn't create a smooth transition between the wing and the winglet surfaces. Try to check it using zebra analysis and you will spot the mismatched surface.

Feels like you stopped before it was done. How do you model the tip so it's not just a clean cut of flat surface?

Show how you got that rib pattern out in space also!

Really nice.
But I've got a different problem to solve, coul'd be interesting to solve for you too (or simply to find the easier way): I'm projecting wings for hydrofoiling and giving the shape to a wing I encountered a problem. (I'm just trying Fusion 360 to see how it works. I usually work with Solid edge and less on Solid works).

I need to give two different curves on different axis to the loft between two profiles (profiles are on offset planes and different Y heights).
Ok... I need to give at the same time a curved shape on the YZ plane and a curved shape on the XY plane.
Works perfectly if I use two rails on the YZ plane or on an angled plane.... and works perfectly if I give the curvature using a centeline on the YZ plane.... but is impossible to use both in the same solid...
My idea was to give the rail shapes and then to add the centerline.... but fusion wants to use one option one by one. Impossible to use both techniques in the same lofted protrusion?
Any idea?
Thanks

I made this video to explain. Sorry is in italian because I made it for a Fusion 360 italian group... but after I explained the problem it could be usefull to understand better.

for some reason when I select my rails, it keeps giving an error saying that the loft would intersect itself. What may be the problem? I'm stuck.

Can you do a tutorial on curve winglet with pointy ends like the Airbus A350?

How can I put the airfoil at the top? Thanks!

Did you do a video explaining what draft analysis is?

Because I cannot figure out what it means? Does refer to how stress is distributed along he wing? Or is it referring to the airflow around the wing?

Can you explain that please?

Hello
My kid in high school is drafting a project on the effects of winglets on vorticity. Which simulator is simple enough to show the vortex by changing the parameters of the winglet without being an engineer? thank you for your reply

I’d like to see how caped winglets can be achieved also.
