I paid for a solar system that is supposed to have MCS registration. The company has gone bust after installing and the MCS is now not going to happen. MCS rules are that they cannot have it retrospectively approved by another installer. I want to keep the system but now I’m not going to get access to Approx £19k of payments from exported Solar, which was always the plan to get paid for the export to payback my initial investment. Can I claim against the credit card company for the lost generation payments? I don’t want the system removed as that would leave a lot of damage from the install. What are the claim options?

Many thanks, my bank initially rejected my claim, but upheld it after I took your advice and asked them to look into this again (was a bit more forceful than just asking).

However, the bank has asked me to return the good (a used car) before I get my money, they will pay for the cost.

am I responsible for returning the goods?

What about if ypu pay via paypal but got the 3 interest payments. There is another party who pays the balance rhen u pay them back? Is that also a possoble wau firward
