I used to load my boat like that. Since then I have taken off the generic side bunk boards and replaced them with the easyguide system. I can now load my boat by floating it all the way to the bump stop. I do not have to power load it ever again. It worked so well I put it on my jetski trailer as well. Keeps my boat straight and centered even during a cross wind or current.

Another thing you may add to boat launching . . I drove truck for 20 yrs. and took trainees with me. One good thing to add while backing is, "get out and look"

First things first learn how to install the safety chains properly. Much shorter and cross them so if the hitch cones loose they support the tongue.

Great video. So many "How to" videos don't mention checking hubs, or unplugging electrical.

make sure you trim to motor up before pulling the boat out of the water! I can't tell you how many times I've seen people drag their lower unit on the ground while driving up the ramp!

The best way to retrieve a boat with a 2 wheels is have your buddy in the boat and engage the boat engine till it out of the water as you in the truck pulling it too. This reduces the load and helps with slippery ramps.

You forgot to mention, make sure you remove your transom saver and trim the motor up!

I like your videos, but I have a couple of problems with them 1) I always see ppl demo how to launch and recover bigger boats not just a small 14 foot fishing boat. 2) where I launch it states NO power loading. I would like to see a solo load not using any power to get the boat on the trailer. Thx for the videos they help Joe Luckhardt

Also don't use a camouflage boat. Other boats might think the ramp is empty and run into your boat lol

I drive mine all the way up into the bow roller.

With bunks you can undo straps and boat will just sit there

Omg. Don’t power load. It ruins the boat ramp.
