I normally wouldn't write out this much on a youtube comment but I fear misinformation is destroying our society, and very few people question information they receive from the internet now a days. I've been a vegan for over five years now. I've been raw vegan, mostly raw, and not raw at all. I'm at a happy balance now with my diet as partially raw. I have had tonsillitis and strep throat 8 times in the past year, and am getting my tonsils out in two days. While I agree a good diet will reduce the chances of someone getting sick, there are many physiological reasons why people need to get their tonsils out. In my case I have large tonsils with many pockets that trap bacteria making it easy for an infection to form. One of my brothers had his removed when he was two as they were so large they were touching, which created major issues with his breathing and sleep. He had pretty bad eczema most of his life and with in a week of his tonsils being removed it went away permanently. Humans are the product of years evolution and we are nowhere near a perfect being, we have body parts that no longer necessary. Regarding the "decreased immunity", yes tonsils are part of the lymphatic and immune system. BUT numerous studies have proven that removal of the tonsils creates no significant affect in the immune system, here is a study as evidence: "It is reasonable to say that there is enough evidence to conclude that tonsillectomy has no clinically significant negative effect on the immune system." (The effect of tonsillectomy on the immune system: A systematic review and meta-analysis. Bitar M, Dowli A, Mourad M.). I fully support natural and homeopathic treatments, in fact I often times treat my strep throat using tea tree oil and a very high raw diet instead of antibiotics (kills the body's natural biome and increases antibiotic resistance), but I have spent so much money, time, and pain due to recurring strep infections that removal of the tonsils is what is best for my health.

I had my tonsils out when I was a little girl, at 10 years old. It was so painful. I was very sick. I was in the hospital for about 1 week. I had a really bad poor diet when I was young due to my family's income.

Wow!! Shocking... I never knew that ripping the tonsils out was bad.. Laura had her ripped out at age 10 due to a extremely poor diet... What she told me what she ate was beyond comprehension.. Very interesting Vlog.. Luck for me that I still have my Tonsils.. My parents fed me very well.. Thanks for sharing

Good explanation and true, it is. Ditch the allopathic medicine models and heal thyself - or with the assistance of your ND, DOM, MTCM, or EAMP. It's nice to have a coach to help us along.

Really late to this video but I just want to make this clear for anyone about to have their tonsils removed. I am vegan, still I got tonsillitis just about every month since I could remember so I had my tonsils removed. My “diet” had nothing what so ever to do with me getting sick so often. I have not gotten sick in the past year that I have gotten my tonsils removed. All this video is scaring people and is spreading misinformation

I don't usually comment on youtube videos, but this is misleading.
Nowadays Doctors and Hospitals don't want to unnecessarily remove tonsils. I have been Vegan for over 3 years now and the only health issues I have - occur in the tonsils/throat area, sometimes It's a genetic issue, my mother having her tonsils removed at the age of 4 because she was prone to infections (hasn't had tonsilitis since) and my brother had his removed at the age of 14 (also hasn't had tonsilitis since) you're calling them "the septic tanks of the body" some people have weaker immune systems and their tonsils are just prone to infection - having tonsilitis over 7 times in the past year (lasting for months at a time) is painful, it debilitates me, I have bagged my doctors to remove them. the thing is I have to have it documented 7+ times in a year for them to do so. I have been so Ill because of this, 2018 really was gone in a blink, it's unnecessary to be in this much pain when you can have them removed. as a vegan who#s tried almost every form of herbal/medicinal treatment for this I'm tired and in pain. Being vegan doesn't mean everything can be solved by drinking a smoothie - really wish It was that easy to fix, but it isn't. I haven't had this before going vegan either. I don't get any other health issues since going vegan but this is one i#m prone to.

anyway, guess I was trying to say that you're not very informative, talking about a subject you have little knowledge and experience on and this wasn't a great video.
