Whether it's a petition from a first lady or just the first stop on an immigrant's journey in America, the National Archives preserves the records of all Americans.

"60 Minutes" is the most successful television broadcast in history. Offering hard-hitting investigative reports, interviews, feature segments and profiles of people in the news, the broadcast began in 1968 and is still a hit, over 50 seasons later, regularly making Nielsen's Top 10.

I think I speak for all genealogists that we wish they had the 1890 U.S. Census. They were destroyed in a fire. This is the genealogist library! Very important place!

Women may still miss out on benefits today. I worked twenty years in our family business but did not take a pay check in my own name. Only my husband got credit for paying into social security, so today, my social security check is half what it should be.

Thats crazy!! Archives can find all this information, but can't help me find information about when I served in the Navy!! Archives won't even acknowledge my questions!!

The National Archives is every bit as important to this nation as the President, Senate and Supreme Court. It explains to all future generations why America is what it is.

it’s odd to me when people ask “why is this important” or “why do this” I mean. it’s so simple. you need to be factually educated on history. lol
