Digital transformations are failing at an accelerated rate, in fact it's becoming so common it's being viewed as an epidemic in the industry. Why are digital transformations failing at an increased rate and what can we do mitigate any associated risks?

The most important reason not mentioned here for digital transformation failure is lack of clear objectives. As well as changes in operations with digital transformation that do not work.

Thank you for the video Eric. I have been in an organization where in the last 7 years we have been thru 5 modernization programs. While I have made my career thru this from an engineer to a vp level driving the change, I can see how all these aspects hamper the progression of a successful digital transformation.

Do more with less has become the mantra at the facade of lean orgs resulting in very limited internal skill set of engineers. Execs not coming from the engineering background tend not to have an appreciation on how hard it is to actually get good engineers. Lack of skill set has such a high correlation to big transformation failures

I am curious to see your take on the future of digital transformations with generative ai push coming into the mix. What other factors may come into play or evolve with this corporate race to incorporate ai and associated governance as part of their transformation journey

Big Firms in order to stay relevant and profitable forcing clients to take risk . Impementating Big ERP where customization is limited is a big challenge . I saw fight between Business and top consultant which management hire to adopt what the SaaS provides . These Top consultants are selling the SaaS ERP as industry standards and no need for any customization.

The boomer generation is retiring en mass and not passing on their expertise through digital transformations. Gen X and Millenials need to do a better job capturing this expertise before its to late.
