Many countries have devoted to developing more solid building materials to resist typhoon, earthquake, and so on. Amid the effort, natural and renewable resources are the key to strike a balance between sustainability and practicality. Dr. Andy Buchanan in his speech elaborated his studies and also cited successful examples of wooden architectures built in countries suffering from frequent earthquakes that achieved safety, solidity as well as space utilization.
