2015 WWD - Symposium - Alfred J. Andrea

In this video, Professor Alfred J. Andrea first briefly introduces the geographical location and customs of Vermont, and then shares his visits of the local handmade furniture industry, from as small as the one-man workshop to as large as the big factory. Vermont is abundant in natural resources (estimated 90% covered by forests); the production of the traditional handmade wooden furniture blended with modern designs makes the traditional furniture to have more appeal for people.
