Every "truth" is divisive I think... Muslims, atheism, Budism, etc etc... Is not like "christanity" is the only thing that divides people...
Democrates vs Republicans, Socialism vs Capitalism, Conservatives vs Liberals, etc etc etc...

Is truth that Jesus says that, and nobody should be neutral to that... Like C.S Lewis said... Accept him, o reject him but cant say "he was a good man"...

Christianity as a whole isn't harmful. Institutional religion is though

I think Christianity promotes responsibility for oneself, thus individualism. Sometimes its misinterpreted. Jesus is the way, means if you want to know what is the right thing to do, just follow after Jesus. Jesus proved that the old testament is not always the final word on things with Mary Madeline, and I think aspects of that apply here. Plus the timeless the golden rule, treat others as you want to be treated

Definitely harmful. My husband was discouraged from marrying me (I’m not religious). They were sad for years after we married: we’ll pray for you so you’ll find god. My husband told me not to tell me parents in law outings we did on Sundays: we don’t need the hassle. It caused a mayor rift. At some point we told them: either you except us or we’re not coming by any more. Fortunately that helped. I don’t think they realised what their behavior did to us.

Now they have new vicar that allows them to eat an ice cream on a Sunday 🙄. God changes her mind depending on the fashion apparently.

Also, my brother in law married a Muslima so the focus got shifted off me 😂😂

I went into the family with hope and love. They made me very weary of religions 😢

The hate your family stuff encourages the believer to prioritize their ideas of what God wants over even the most trusted people in their lives.

Of it especially New Testament, after Jesus. You get confused bc of ignorant people and Christian’s. People twist the word not God not the Bible. Proverbs explains common sense. People don’t have it anymore and don’t believe so they get more dumb. And yes how can you get to heaven if you don’t believe? And yes Jesus is the way because he is God he was not just a person he is God. It doesn’t make since for you to be an unfollower if you’ve never knew him in the first place. He does accept sinners and ppl who make mistakes. It’s about your heart and change. And also can’t look at it black and white, like you’d be the one to say than if you have a good heart than you don’t need to believe to get to heaven right? Well it all matters. Just bc you don’t understand and won’t try to fully learn and think the world goes the way you think and see in America doesn’t mean you really have the answers to how things really are. God is all knowing and smarter than you or anything in the world which means that you cannot understand why things go the way they do in this world all the time, sometimes things go the way they do bc God has his plan for what we can’t understand yet. And the earth is not our ultimate home, we all die at some point to get to our true home and that is what matters, and mind you he gave us freewill.

Christisnity is not harmful at all, people in the Church or Christians in general might not live fully for Jesus Christ and thats why their behaviour is not nice or what you expect. You need to fully know the Teachings of Jesus and read the Bible to fully understand our religion.
