Can you do an update video on the solar panels now that it has been more than 1 year? Have they been performing as expected? How much money have they saved you, etc.?

Eric, a long time ago you did a video on the process of how the milk is picked up. I imagine your new viewers would like to see an in depth explanation on what the milk buyers are looking for with fats and proteins

Yes, update on solar panels and mixing of feed into robots with details. I enjoy seeing the robots and automation. Are the manure pushing robots still in operation? How is your new house?

What I like the most is when You explain all the accomplishments & inconvenients, the way that You work with your father shoulder to shoulder is a motivation for many. Greetings 👍🍀

Good content is hard to make and even harder to present. It's fascinating for city folks to see what it takes to operate a successful dairy farm. The constant improvements and repairs, herd health, crops and yields. Thanks for sharing. I like to hear a 20 questions interview from: Megan, the hoof trimmer and the herd nutritionist.
Nice editing, Eric. -EZ

We had similar issues with our "garage doors" in our cow barns. We switched them to jackshaft openers. These attach directly to the shaft. There’s no long chain or belt, eliminating much of the noise you get with an overhead-mount opener. The side-mount opener also doesn’t need a trolley or track system running across the ceiling. They seem to be working much better.

Nice that you keep the outside of the farm looking nice. Says a lot about your family. Keep up the good and hard work

Yes, some videos on just the feeder systems would be interesting for me.
I like the day to day farm life content, which you might think is boring, but there is always something happening that I find interesting. Cheers 🇨🇦

Yup watching the feeder work a cycle from start to finish would be cool.

Young man, the doors require servicing and lubrication.... WD 40
The tensioner/lift spring...will relieve the load on motor and linkage, grease the guide pulleys on the vertical channels.... Everything will improve operation and efficiency....less downtime...😅😊😅😊🎉❤

I'd like to see a video of the Vectors in action! My idea was to have a 24 hr timelapse with camera angles from on board the Vector and from stationary in the bunks to watch the Vectors dump. Could even work in an ad read for a battery power station to power your cameras during the timelapse!

That's fantastic that you got to finish 'early' on Friday! Work/life balance is so important!

To fix your door problem. At the bottom hinge, there is a zinc plated little disc at 6:45 that looks like there's two tabs coming out 90 degrees rotated from eachother. it rotates into a slot on the door to keep it open for servicing it. It's in the locked position and you're having to jam the door closed and bend that little disc into submission each time. Try rotating it up and back away from the door.

Hi Eric! Thanks for making these vids! I would love to see more milking, or when the truck comes to collect the milk. manure pumping, lagoon crawlers and agitators, etc. Have you considered a long time lapse in the silos? It would be cool to see the unloader's operating and the level dropping.

That's pretty cool, I never even thought about the overhead door thing if you talked about it I missed it. So obviously the robot has a transponder built-in to open the door

Eric, those garage door openers that connect directly to the main spring shaft are really great, and eliminate the chain (or belt) that traditional garage door openers utilize. I imagine you could swap that out easily and affordable, and from experience, they really are great.
