When learning the faith I was a rad trad, now I see myself as a GLAD trad, because I see the fruits of extreme rad trads and it's not good, very dividing like the protestants.

My wife almost didn't go to RCIA because rad trad comments on videos she would watch were like, "nothing is valid right now. The pope is bad." etc. etc. Thank God that he used me to convince her to come into the faith in 2020.

No genuine self thinking trad catholic thinks this. If anything, we accept that orthodoxy is the way. Catholicism used to just be orthodoxy but with cultural elements from Western Europeans. But then a state (the Vatican) came in and made it so that they are the arbiters of the word of God. Even though Jesus never preached for an infallible state to lead the people to begin with. He advocated for the community to lead themselves all together towards God

I’m a traditional Catholic and I disagree with some things pope Francis does but I would never lecture somebody else about what they should or shouldn’t believe. Maybe my family is just different from other traditional catholics. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Well we are called to evangelize and letting someone live in sin is as if we committed that sin ourselves so I’m glad that TradCats have become a thing and I have recently came back to the Church after 10 years of paganism and it was the TradCats who brought me back into it. Traditionalism is what I think what would reach people in a way we couldn’t now. It’s like watering down a drink, you have more but then no one wants a sip, it’s only a drink in name and not in practice

@Reason & Theology  I am not a radtrad, but didn't Saint Bellarmine and others accept that it's possible for a pope to be a heretic? If so, do you disagree with those theologians?

By breaking catholic dogma and preaching heresy a Pope loses his office and is no longer Pope by notoriety of fact. We don't tell protestants they have to be in communion with the "Pope" when the seat of Peter is vacant. What they must do is undergo a valid rite of baptism, accept true Catholic dogma and live accordingly. As Catholics Popes and saints alike tell us we have no duty to obey a heretical Priest, Bishop, Archbishop, Cardinal or Pope. It's dogma.
