An ultraviolet laser pointer, at least 50mW, is a great way to locate where the glow-in-the-dark rod comes into the attic/crawlspace.

I have a set of 6’ and a set of 2” for really cramped spots.

I had draw rods at work once, used once and that was it. Not most useful with vehicles. Good strong wire or top to trunking has worked better for my use but these be great for home use

I love these things. They really are so helpful. Unfortunately sometimes you just need the old school snake. They're a pain in the butt to work with sometimes, and yeah they are but they also work where is these don't

We just use the harbor freight rods, never used a plumb bob and chain but I've seen it in a book and want to try it

I always throw out the tube they package those things in. Complete trash. Make your own out of PVC
