You don't have to copy hosts file to anywhere. Just right click notepad or any text editors startup icon, choose "Run as administrator" and you can edit the file in it's original location. It's smart to copy the original file to somewhere safe (like a thumbstick) just in case you have to revert changes.

Lots of issues with this...

1. BEFORE you mdoify ANY Windows file - MAKE A BACKUP FIRST. You never advised this. -10 points.

2. You go through the hots file, pet NEVER explaining what you're doing. You don't explain why you're using the 127 dot address, you don't explain the reason for the FDQN names and their relevance to what you're doing. -20 points


I'm sure you've got people blindly following your instructions, not know if they are opening their machines to an exteranl attack or opened a vulnerability. -10, 000 points.
