Boot from cvd or usb, select repair, then command prompt, then execute "diskpart", "list volume", "select volume #" (your #), "active", then "assign". Video was about 6 minutes longer than needed.

Mine is still showing an operating system wasn't found.Try disconnecting any drive that don't contain an operating system... I did everything you did

FYI, if you have a GPT type Ssd. You dont need to bother typing 'active' command. Just the 'assign' command will help you out.

Will this help with recovery menu not booting as well? After messing with system partition I lost acces to recovery menu from bios so I can't even reinstall the system. Main partition and recovery still there untouched but are not booting (checked with hiren's boot).

When I enter active, it says
" The selected disk is not a fixed MBR disk."

"The ACTIVE command can only be used on fixed MBR disks."

Can you help with this.

struggling.... the selected disk is not a fixed mbr disk... i have list
Vol 1 C Recovery NTFS Partition 600mb
Vol 2 D Raw Partition 914 gb
vol 3 Push Button NTFS Partition 16GB
Vol 4 ESP Fat32 Partition 300mb
Vol 5 E ESD-USB Fat32 Removable 7639mb


I used the volume 2 but came up with the disk not found... which one should I use
