Thanks for the information, this something I do from time to time, but have never worked on the Services part of it. Time to print out the list of programs/processes and doing internet searches for them. I understand what some are, but others, I just scratch my head.

I tried the system configuration with Diagnosticstart up. Thereafter on restart I had the message "No pin available" . The screen offered a way to get the pin but that did not work. I could not access the computer. After consulting other help pages on Youtube none provided an answer. It would appear that the option to enter the Pin was not on the diagnostic start up. After hours of frustration I risked a System Reset and this was successful but of course the computer is still slow to start.

I can’t seem to open task manger or see the internet or anything! I’m not sure if it’s because my pc is updating or the apps in the background but I’ve had slow startups before but after at least 5 min the apps start to appear. Now there’s nothing showing

My problem is that the PC (Dell laptop and HP desktop) takes forever for POST to start. On the laptop a cold boot is fine. Only on a restart does the issue occur. On the desktop it doesn't matter. Booting into Windows hasn't entered the picture at this point so any Windows settings aren't involved. Ideas?

Mine takes around 34seconds. Is this normal with my specs ?

Wd 7500mb read and write m.2 gen 4

Is it because there is so much ram?

I feel like my Jram is getting throttled by the Front Side Bus by way of the Control Panel's Administrative Privileges but then again I'm wrong 73.8% of the time and I don't own a computer either. Soooo.

I followed your direction with using diagnostic mode and thanks, now I do not have any access to my computer, it will not accept my password so actually the computer is now junk. You should definitely give a warning to viewers before they set that option. So tell me, if you will, how do I correct this. Please get back to me. Thank You.

Be careful if you use the diagnostic mode with the system config and you use a pin and forgot your password

Great video. But, I initiated the "Load basic devices and services only' as was suggested in your video and now the desktop no longer gives me the ability to sign in. The message after the basic boot up is "Something happened and your PIN isn't available. Click to set up your PIN. [Set up my PIN]. I click [Set up my PIN] and received the message, "Search for app in the store?" [Yes/No]. 'NO' takes me nowhere and 'Yes' give the warning message "The system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer in this application. This overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this application." The sign in screen no longer displays the option to use a password. I have used a PIN for years and now it is asking me to set up a PIN. Any thoughts? Although the performance was slow, at least I was always able to sign in with no problem. Now, after trying to boot up with only the Basic Devices Load, I am locked out. Need help please. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks
