The dad looked like he was remorseful for his son's actions. But his wife's attitude had that "side with me or we are going to have a problem" tone

ACCIDENTALLY hurting someone's feelings is one thing, INTENTIONALLY hurting someone's feelings is something COMPLETELY different.

I always loved that line. When I first saw this movie, I remember a few people in the audience clapped when he made that statement.

Parents who support their child for bullying others are ten times worse.

That Principal is such a boss, he actually punished the perpetrator and not the victim.

The scene was really well directed. Just look at how Julian’s mom behaved here and we will all understand why he was a bully. Nobody was born a bully or a harasser, they were raised into one

What I respect about Mr. Tushman is the restraint he shows in this scene. He never raises his voice, never scolds Julian for what he did, never calls out the mother for how utterly detestable she’s being. He shuts down their veiled threat with a single sentence.

I watched this at school and when Julian said “I’m really sorry” a kid yelled “NO YOURE NOT”

You’d be surprised how effective notes are to kids and how some will go into depression and even go so far to commit suicide

Even though he bullied Auggie, Julian has more sense than his parents

I admire how the principal is able to keep a calm confidence while they run their mouth and try to intimidate him. His words are few and precise and he seems genuinely sorry for the kid having those rotten people as parents.
